  • Metal figure: The Boxer 1910

    The Boxer 1910: metal cast figure, beautifuly detailed true to life, all parts have been softly coloured in different tones, making a wonderful impression. The base has been newly fitted with screws and has a small crack which does not disturb the general impression. Made in 1910 in France and signed by "A. Jobveau". Height 25cm, cond. II. Condition: B.   • China figure: Max Schmeling 1936

    Meißen porcelain figure of the famous German Boxer made as a limited edition to commemorate his victory against Joe Louis (KO in round 12 in 1936). The renouned porcelain company very rarely produced real life figures, this model is a perfect replica of the boxer. Only 150 pieces were produced, this item has the double sword emblem of Meißen and weiss G277 152 printed under the base. The glazing shows a small burn/crack on the rear od the boxer's right calf caused during production. Size 40cm high! Also included is a photo showing Schmelling in the same pose. Condition I.
